Everglades Hotel is a true “Country Hotel” situated beneath the imposing Inhlosane Mountain the highest point in the Upper-Dargle amidst the beautiful Midlands countryside 35km from Howick. It boasts indigenous forests and mountain streams and is a perfect venue for a country wedding. We assure you of an unforgettable day, providing you with personal, professional service.

Our standard wedding package is R295.00 per person.

We have four beautiful venues to suite your wedding size.

Our largest venue “Reedbok Boma” can seat 120 guests at round tables with wrought iron chairs & seat cushions.
The setting is beneath an indigenous forest with a stream running past the front deck. The picture below gives you an idea of the room once it is set up.

Inhlosane 4 - our next venue is a carpeted thatch room with fireplace, it can seat 80 guests at round tables and should you want a garden ceremony we can provide that as well. Venue Hire for Inhlosane 4 - R2000.00 (Can seat 80)
Should you want an outside ceremony - we can quote you.

Our third Venue is Inhlosane 1 - which is also a carpeted venue with a fireplace and has an interleading room that has been used as a Chapel many times.
This room can seat 50 at round tables quite comfortably.

Our fourth venue is our cosy Coffee Shop which can seat 20 guests at rectangular tables quite comfortably and is situated in the Main Hotel Building.

Terms & Conditions

All prices quoted are inclusive of V.A.T at 14%.
Final numbers must be confirmed 7 days before your function and will be charged accordingly.
The client undertakes to relay instructions and requests to Reception only.  Everglades cannot accept responsibility for instructions given directly to staff.
We will endeavor to fulfill requests for specific rooms, although we cannot guarantee this. We reserve the right to change rooms without notice should circumstance require this.
Late arrivals i.e. after 19:00 should be arranged with Reception at least 48 hours prior to arrival time.
All day functions must terminate by 18h00 unless a later time is agreed in writing with the Hotel, at the time of booking. Thereafter a fee of R1000.00 per hour, or part thereof, will be levied.
Evening functions must terminate by midnight unless a later time is agreed in writing with the Hotel at the time of booking. Thereafter a fee of R1000.00 per hour, or part thereof, will be levied.
Unless arranged at the time of making the booking, we cannot change the standard hotel dining room times or produce meals apart from what is on offer on the Copper Kettle menu during its standard opening times.
Should you require alternate dining room times e.g. early breakfasts, a surcharge will be levied.
Special dietary requirements (vegetarian, Halaal, etc) must be arranged at times of booking.
Please ensure that any additional guests or day visitors who are not staying at Everglades are booked in at Reception for meals, functions, etc.
             Please note that we charge full meal rates irrespective of quantities consumed.
             Meals for DJ’s, musicians, etc will also be charged for.
We will hold your booking on a provisional basis for 14 days until a signed copy of this agreement is received along with the required deposit. Provisional bookings will be released without notification should you fail to confirm within this period.
A non refundable deposit of R5000.00 is required to confirm the booking together with a signed copy of these Terms & Conditions. If these terms and conditions are not signed the function will be cancelled.
The balance of the account is to be settled 72 hours before the function.
Any outstanding amounts (bar, etc) must be settled in full before departure.
Brochure contents and prices are valid until 28 February 2013.

The client shall be responsible for any damage caused to the rooms, furnishings, utensils and equipment therein by any act or omission of the client or guest/employees of the client.   
The client will be responsible for the safe keeping of, and any damage caused to, equipment hired on their behalf whether hired by the client or by Everglades on behalf of the client.
Only food and drink purchased from or through Everglades Hotel may be consumed on the hotel premises unless alternate arrangements have been made at the time of booking.

The Everglades Hotel will not be held liable for any loss or damage resulting from the presence of yourself or your guests or their respective properties whilst on the Everglades Hotel premises. The client/s hereby indemnifies the Everglades hotel against all or any claims that might be brought against it.
